Copyright (DMCA) Policy

Last updated: October 9, 2026

How to tell us that content on Chask infringes your copyright, and how to respond if your content was removed. This page describes the procedure in §19 of our Terms of Service, which govern.

Sending a copyright notice

If you believe content hosted on the Service infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), the notice must include:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner;
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed;
  • Identification of the allegedly infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it on the Service;
  • Your contact information (address, telephone number, email);
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate, and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

Send DMCA notices to: dmca@chask.ai.

A notice that leaves out any of these elements may not be effective. If you knowingly misrepresent that material is infringing, you may be liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

What happens after we receive a notice

When we receive a notice that includes the required elements, we remove or disable access to the identified material promptly and take reasonable steps to tell the user who uploaded it that we have done so.

Submitting a counter-notice

If you believe material you uploaded was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to dmca@chask.ai. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3), it must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature;
  • Identification of the material that was removed or disabled, and where it appeared on the Service before it was removed or disabled;
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
  • Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which Chask may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or that person's agent.

When we receive a valid counter-notice, we send a copy to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the infringing activity, we restore the material between 10 and 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice.

Repeat infringers

We have a policy of terminating accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers.
